Just out of interest for the Dog Co. guys, the lighter colour of camo on the face, wouldn't have anything to do with the photo of the 3 chaps on the front of the new SOF magazine would it?

Just prior to the invasion of Normandy, a "Stars and Stripes" photographer caught U.S. paratroopers with heads shaved into Mohawks, applying war paint to their faces.

Firstly, some well-deserved thank yous - Taffy, for being the hostess with the mostest. 
Taffy Jr and the rest of the site crew for all their running around on our behalf. 16th SS for going to all that effort to bring the vehicles - much appreciated, Dave - and you guys were an absolute pleasure to skirmish alongside. Welsh and Tom from Dog Co. who prevented me from falling asleep at the wheel, despite my 7-hour journey!
It was good to see familiar faces again - you all know who you are - and a pleasure to meet some new players - Roy, who must have lost half his body weight in sweat, playing in all wools - you sir, are a trooper! And also Martin Von Straffham, another new comrade in arms.
Now some constructive criticism. I think on Saturday, the Axis players could easily be forgiven for thinking they were just there as the 101's cannon-fodder - the odds were against them in terms of numbers, firepower, comms, medic rules, etc. (I guess they had an armoured car to hide behind during one scenario - that was pretty much it! 
) After an hour or so, it was pretty obvious they were on a hiding to nothing, but nobody spat out their dummy, they just soldiered on. Don't forget, it takes two sides to make a game - the Axis players are not just there as vermin to be exterminated. The Sunday morning game was a much better-balanced affair.

Well great weekend ,good to see keith,chommers,jd7,stiener,webby,welsh,and all the Dog Company lads,always a pleasure to fight with and against have to agree with stieners comments as well but all in all great weekend and only taffy john would put chilli on for food on the hottest day of the year greek salad would have been better Great photos too
